Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
25 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

i was checking the porsche vendors website and im not 100% sure but it looks like a c4s doesnt have front ajustable droplinks, is it possible?
mine has them and i want to order some new ones, but cant find the part number...
would they be aftermarket ones or like a c4s option?
thanks for the info
i will get a picture today,
but they are are silver/metal color,,, not colored like the tarett ones
my swaybar has 5 holes
turbo came stock with ajustable drop links?
rebuild??? the drop link?
there are nothing more than a threaded rod with a ball socket screwed into each and a bolt thru the the sway bar... whats to rebuild?
If they are loose, you will hear knocking on your suspension. But they will move (pivot) around the ball. That is part of the design... BTW, those bars looks kinda close to that arm.
the first picture, you can see what im talking about, the 2 small parts are loose, i dont know if its normal or not...
also, see the cv joint, i managed to do some bad things to it with a screw driver trying to remove it, not happy of that, can that metal part be change?
also, see my top strut, can i change that rubber?
the two small tophat looking pieces are separate from the rod end, and can be removed but shouldnt be loose like they appear. You can Loctite them into place.
the third image appears to be a piece of rubber torn away from the top mount(?) -- not sure why this is.
The last image of your CV joint dust shield being all beat up - did a driveshaft pop loose at some point? Suspension bump and rebounding motion can do this if the inboard mount comes loose.
loctite will keep them from moving???
yes it a piece of the top of the strut, but i dont know if i need to buy the top mount or i can purchase only that rubber...
no i removed it the wrong way, i did good for the driver side but the passenger side, i had to used a screwdriver and i beat the **** out of it
and i want to know if the metal part can be purchase apart...
thanks for the help
the things on the ends of the end links are heim joints. Try a place like
Colman
or
Afco
if you are looking for replacements. Might be more economical to just buy new adjustable end links.
which one are you talking about?
my front and rear swaybar look like gt3 sways, i have 5 holes in front and 4 in the back(not quite sure of the rear)
is it why my swaybar hitting the lower control arm?
RE beat the crap out of it
the bar "can" be loaded with spring tension...to remove the drop link you have to unload the spring tention by pressing the bar up or down till it is neutral - once the parts are at nutral they should just slip right out...
anytime working with springs and removing nuts/bolts ALL SPRING TENSION MUST BE REMOVED!!!
(unless you dont like your fingers, head, arms, legs, car panels, neighbor, kids or other things that might be injured, damaged or killed when the tension releases in an uncontrolled manner)
Weight can act like a sprung weight on a bolt too...if the bolts are not coming apart or sliding out...THINK about what is happening BEFORE reaching for a bigger prybar

Seb,
A picture is worth a thousand words. Scroll to the bottom of the thread to see a pic of the proper curved front drop links for a C4S.
