Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I took a picture of it and emailed it to a couple outfits that specialize in used Porsche parts.

I guess at this point I need to find a Porsche junk yard and go looking....or just stow away my **** retentiveness and use a zip tie.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Can anyone tell me the part number for this metal clip? Its inboard of the rear brakes and appears to hold the brake wear sensor wire. My car is missing one on the right side. There is not a part number stamped on it and I can't seem to find it in the parts catalog (maybe I'm looking in the wrong section?)
Thanks in advance!
The only thing I can find is a "cable holder for warning contact" wire
Located here (not listed as a part on the diagram but just below Part #8)

Thanks I appreciate the effort but that's not the one. It appears there are three cable holders on the rear hub for this brake sensor wire:
944 612 627 00 - Plastic clip that is a snap ring which clips it to the ABS wire (same one used on the front brakes).
999 507 464 40 - Plastic guide that goes on the front of the ABS connector bracket. (this one is also missing in the photo above, goes in the open hole on the zinc plated bracket towards the bottom of the pic)
??? ??? ??? ?? - The one in the photo above - Metal clip/guide that keeps the sensor wire from dropping on to the CV joint and rubbing.

FWIW, I once needed to replace a part that I couldn't find a part # for. I took a picture of it and emailed it to a couple outfits that specialize in used Porsche parts. I had what I needed within a week or two.
I think the particular part you are looking for might be part of the ABS sensor wiring hardness since it appears as though it connects directly to the ABS sensor on the rear axle spindle.
or snip the wires close to the plug and twist them together - now you'll always have continuity in the circuit and never get a brake warning light. requires that you occasionally give your pads a check however.
Thanks guys. None of those part numbers hit the mark. I am thinking it must be included w/ the ABS connector harness or something. I talked with both Pelican Parts and DC Automotive today and they are both looking into it for me. I'll post back if I get any positive results.
DC Automotive came through with a clip pulled off a salvage 996. Noone can find this in the parts catalogs so it appears it's a unicorn. As said above it's probably sold together w/ the rear ABS wiring harness or something but you'd have to order one to find out.
Dear friends,
I know this post is old, but for future reference, here is the part number for that metal clip that holds the brake pad wear sensor cable
