But it does seem odd to have a difference of 10 unlike the 35 and 30 I'm running which is standard for 19".

A little more work than Turbo Twists to keep clean, just keep them dry and use quick mist detailer to clean.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

34 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So another good deed from our friend Ed. Thanks to him I had the opportunity to crab these set of Sport Designs. He also did the favor of talking to seller, picking up, packaging (look at his packaging!!!) and shipping over to me. Wheels came in intact!!! Big thanks I am very satisfied with the results and will be getting them on my 996 soon. BTW... Anyone interested on a set of Turbo Twists let me know

POST 2Original post

Lite weight titanium GT3 Sport Designs 18's are very nice, look great. A little more work than Turbo Twists to keep clean, just keep them dry and use quick mist detailer to clean.

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So what do you guys suggest on tire sizes? I am thinking 235/40/18 and 285/30/18 on Sumis

POST 18Original post

Are you sure these weren't wheels Ed bought for himself, but would't fit his current AC Porsche? Kudos Ed for being such a giving guy.

POST 19Original post

LOL @ Steve.... me do have some new parts though... a box arrived yesterday with some long metal rods inside

POST 20Original post

I'm not sure if those sidewall profilesof 40 and 30 are standard for 18" since I've always had 19". But it does seem odd to have a difference of 10 unlike the 35 and 30 I'm running which is standard for 19". Since you aren't a C4 that's good but I'm not sure if those numbers are trouble for speedometer and performance. I was thinking 40 and 35 were standard but the current 911 models are 40 front and rear.

POST 22 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Going with 225/40/18 and 285/30/18. I was on dilema on fronts but since I have 7.5 front I should just stay with that. I currently have 8 front & 10 Rear on 18s and have same set up.

POST 28Original post

Ed is genuine DUDE! Still haven't installed the seats he helped me with though. Been accumulating parts.....BK harness bar, harnesses, sub mounts and brackets. Need a few more parts before I take it on.

POST 29 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

New rubber !!! And on the car... Will take it for a ride tomorrow

POST 34Original post

F.S. 28mm Rear Torsion bars for 915 - 911..... seems I need a little bigger bigger for the rear since my front are a little bigger than I was aiming for... now to find some 30mm rears well at least they fit (or would fit) .... I'm getting better !!
