Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

one thing different than other make/models is that the fluid level has to be checked/filled at a specific temp
Leading evidence: 'Check /' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check /' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I did a bunch of searching and checked codes, turns out that in my case it is the solenoid that controls the torque converter lock up.

Suggestion
Check the condition of the various torx 30 size screws that hold the pan to the transmission, also check the drain plug and overflow plug.

(you change about 4-5 liters that way) You will need a fluid pump that can be pumped up and pressurized to push the new atf fluid into the special fill port.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So I think my transmission is slipping while I'm driving through corners at a higher than normal rate of speed (well OK I'm driving it hard through the corners). From a dead stop going straight or at freeway speed and accelerating hard there are no issues. I was wondering if I am correct in my assumption and have any of you experienced this situation too. From what I can find on the Internet appears that the tiptronic is sensitive to low(er) fluid levels.
Have any of you ever changed the transmission fluid and filter in your tiptronic? If so, Is it as difficult as it appears? Is the Bentley manual an adequate reference to perform this tasks? Where is the best place to purchase transmission fluid?
As always, thanks for your help and responses!
I did the entire procedure about two weeks ago in my driveway. Had the car on jack stands about 20 inches off the ground. Car must be level when performing the fill procedure. Assuming you have a 2002 you will need about 6 liters of Fuchs Titan 3353 ATF. Maybe an extra liter just in case. You will need three new washers (drain plug washer, filling port cap, and the overflow plug washer). You'll need a new filter and the pan gasket. Check the condition of the various torx 30 size screws that hold the pan to the transmission, also check the drain plug and overflow plug. These small parts are cheap and great to have if the originals are damaged or stripped in any way. Changing the ATF filter does increase the pain in the *** level up a couple of notches, compared to just pulling the drain plug only and topping off again. (you change about 4-5 liters that way) You will need a fluid pump that can be pumped up and pressurized to push the new atf fluid into the special fill port. You will need a filling hose with the right size adapter to conect to the fill port on one end and the fluid pump on the other. Once everything is back together and you're ready to refill the ATF fluid there is a special procedure. I'm getting tired just writing about it, take it to the dealer.
Pelican Parts is also a great place to get most of what you need. I use them. PP's instructions do not apply to model year 2002 or newer. The special filling hose can only be purchased from a Porsche dealer. You can make your own easily if you know the size of the adapter. It's kind of like a screw on adapter generally used to fill A/C systems. I have close up clear pictures I will post when I can.
I have the filling instructions for MY2002- from the Porsche tech manual and will post them as soon as I get a chance. If you PM your email I will send you a PDF.

Best jack stands you can get for this type of job, lifts the car about 20-21" off the ground. A real automotive lift would be a much much better option if available.
Mine does that as well. Have you checked for codes?
I did a bunch of searching and checked codes, turns out that in my case it is the solenoid that controls the torque converter lock up. I will change that out over the winter when I do a service but for now it only does it when cold.
