Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I had been curious as to the quality of satellite acquisition with the lower location, but it seems to work just fine and keeps the windscreen view nice and clean for driver and passenger.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I did a search and didn't see anything like this. Note that this mounting requires the elimination of the center storage console (GT3-Style). Pics first, then the explanation. When you eliminate the center console, there is a new trim piece that fits in front of the shifter. The mount, which I sourced from a Garmin dash-top mount, is attached to this trim piece via a screw that runs up from beneath, through a hole I drilled in the trim. I put a thin piece of dense foam padding between the mount and the trip piece in order to keep it from spinning around. Simple as that. Once you get the parts organized, this takes about ten minutes. I had been curious as to the quality of satellite acquisition with the lower location, but it seems to work just fine and keeps the windscreen view nice and clean for driver and passenger.

That looks really nice. The problem I would have is you need to look down to see the Nav, taking your eyes off the road and creating an unsafe situation worse or at least as dangerous as texting while driving. With a Nav in your field of view, attached to the windshield or the top of the dash, you don't have to take your eyes off the road. It does look really nice in any case
