Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

We run these tires on my wife’s Volkswagen CC and they are a good all seasons tire.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have a 1999 996 C2 cabrio and this is my first 911, so I dont have anything to compare it too, but I felt compelled to let everyone know that Ive had an excellent winter driving experience with this combo. I live in Michigan and now that its February, weve seen some snow and this car with 18 Conti Extreme Contact DWS tires is a joy to drive. Plenty of traction and feels very stable in the snow and ice. Certainly not as good as dedicated winter tires, but still, Im really enjoying driving the car this winter. The cars design Im sure helps as well. Traction control, weight distribution and lsd are all adding to the equation. The removable hardtop has been a nice addition too this winter. Thats all. Just wanted to make a comment in case anyone in the great white north was looking for an all season tire option. These are more than serviceable!
While I don't have a set on my 996 I do have a set of the Conti Ext Cont DWS06 on My Honda Civic Type R. If these are the tires you are talking about they are pretty good on dry warm roads/wet roads as well!
Yeah, I had those tires on my Boxster S back in 2009. They were tested in the Arctic Circle back then and had twice as much snow and ice grip as any other all season tire
We run these tires on my wife’s Volkswagen CC and they are a good all seasons tire. But they are a compromise, no where near as good as a true winter tire and no where as good as a high performance summer tire.
I had them on my first 996 and liked them. They did fine in mild winter and crunchy ice/snow and ok during summer. Noisy as they wore down. They were money well spent.
