I removed most of the rear interior and completely cleaned the sunroof lines but most of the water is actually dripping out of the junction between the sunroof cassette and the plastic pieces that snap into it.

Before I start tearing apart the forward carpeting to see where it's coming from, I wanted to check with the community to see if a) anyone has experienced the same thing and, b) what the likely source is so I can effect the repair.
Leading evidence: 'Clean sunroof lines' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'sunroof issue' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check with the community' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I used a piece of refrigerator water line from the end of the nozzle that reduces the flow rate and pressure (due to bleed from the hand held nature of the junction).

Its probably a sunroof issue, but there is a rubber plug in the firewall that can be removed or dislodged when someone wants to run wires to the trunk.

Is the rear pipe one piece from the sunroof to the rear wheel arch, I've had a problem with water in the rear passenger footwell ( Uk car) and it gets wet under the rear seat bases aswel and also the carpet trim over the rear shocks behind the rear seats it driving me crazy, I was going to start removing the rear side trims to check if the pipe has an elbow fitting that has come loose , I can run water into the sunroof panel and it seems to drain out , I'm getting a bit stuck for ideas , maybe the rear window seal has has failed and started to leak ??
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So I have a driveway that is a 15 slope and when I leave my '99 C2 on it in the rain, water intrudes into the driver's side, rear footwell. Before I start tearing apart the forward carpeting to see where it's coming from, I wanted to check with the community to see if a) anyone has experienced the same thing and, b) what the likely source is so I can effect the repair.
Any help greatly appreciated!
Which way is the driveway sloped 15 degrees up to the house or down? Its probably a sunroof issue, but there is a rubber plug in the firewall that can be removed or dislodged when someone wants to run wires to the trunk. That is a place to look as well if your driveway slopes up.

Here's what it looks like. I cleared the rear drains late last year and *thought* I cleared the front ones. I'm thinking I missed one in front on the driver's side.
Yeah, I know. Fortunately I caught it when only about a tablespoon of water was in the rear foot well and with the car on a 15 nose up angle, it bypassed the brain. I'm going to get one of those waterproof boxes for it in any event.
Ok, so the update is that 24 hours after backing into the garage, there was STANDING WATER in the cowl on the driver's side and plenty of redwood leaves (I'm in Marin County and my house is surrounded by those majestic trees) that took some time to clear the drain on that side. Hit both sides of the sunroof drains and cowl drains with compressed air and then wet tested to make sure the drains were clear. Seems that both the cowl and the driver's side sunroof drains had *some* debris (especially the cowl) and now all is good. The rains stop in April (or early May at the outside), and there's no issues in the driveway until October/November.
Since my garage was basically built for a car the size of a VW bug, I sometimes leave the p-car in the driveway overnight so I can work on the bikes and other things.
Hopefully with the compressed air you didnt blow the clogged pipe off of the fitting for the sunroof I did that once and only once. String trimmer line is my choice now to ensure it isnt clogged.

If memory serves me correct it passes through the body in the rear side way in the back by the rear side panel vents. I believe it connects to a metal pipe that allow it to pass outside. If the carpet is wet all the way up on the back deck it also could be the weep channel under the back window or the back window itself or maybe rear wiper if there is one.
I used a piece of refrigerator water line from the end of the nozzle that reduces the flow rate and pressure (due to bleed from the hand held nature of the junction). Wet tested it and it all drained as normal.
This happens to my car. I removed most of the rear interior and completely cleaned the sunroof lines but most of the water is actually dripping out of the junction between the sunroof cassette and the plastic pieces that snap into it. The sunroof drain lines slip over the nipple on the plastic pieces. For some reason no matter what I do I cannot seal up that junction well enough to stop the leak.
I'm fairly certain this is your problem as well if the rear drains are clean.
