This is not a probability of success.

Unfortunately, I only brought them two wheels (the ones that needed the lips repaired) after they quoted me $175 per wheel.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

in spots on one of the rear wheels and a little less on one of the front wheels. Assume I should get all four wheels painted to match?
2003 C4S with 18-inch "c4s" wheels
It should be around 200-300 per, the spread is dependent on how well the rest of the wheel is. Where are you located in the US? I curbed a 21" Cayenne wheel on my VW(while at Disney World... was very unhappy in the Happiest Place on Earth) and that's what they charged me down in S.FLA.
Where can you find a price like that, your friends oven? Generally speaking, to have your wheels refinished by a reputable shop, it's $150-$200 per wheel - depending on the wheel (some will cost you more - up to $300 or so). There are many variables involved - how damaged the wheel is (does it need actual machine repair? etc...), type of wheel (1 piece, 2 piece, 3 piece) form factor etc. In my experience powder coating is as or more expensive than painting... Good Luck
These are the prices listed for the local CT powder coater who just did my calipers:
All Wheels Up To 19x8" $125 each
Wheels 20x8" $150 each
Wheels Wider Than 8" $10 per Inch
Ive heard that Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists in ATL is good, but I havent personally used them yet. Im thinking about having them refinish my 928s phone dials though as they currently have a 20% off promo for February.
I had mine done at Elite Rim Repair in Plainview. They were recommended by Porsche of Southampton (I know the general manager there personally so I trust them for some things - I do NOT have my car serviced there though...) - apparently they do all the repairs for the dealership. They did a great job on my wheels (two of which needed repair of the lip from curb damage). Unfortunately, I only brought them two wheels (the ones that needed the lips repaired) after they quoted me $175 per wheel. After doing them, the quote for the other two went up to $200
. I totally understood, because they're 2 piece wheels that need to be taken apart etc., but it was a little bit of a bummer... I would totally reccommend them though.
