However the sump plate seals easily & I use Ultra Grey Loctite which is available & cheap at any autoparts store in USA.

Hi I have 574 since earlier, can I use that for my sump plate or do I need 5900? I am not sure after some searches. Thankful for advice Cheers Henrik

I have never used the 574 & it's not specified by Porsche. However the sump plate seals easily & I use Ultra Grey Loctite which is available & cheap at any autoparts store in USA. For any other sealant required areas, (case, camcover) I use Drei Bond 1209 available at Porsche dealer.

574 has a fairly short shelflife, check to see if yours still good. The 928s use it to seal up the lower crank girdle, same situation as the sukp plate on the 996. Can't see why it wouldn't work just fine.
