Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that report identifying a cause

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'just be the battery' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'just be the battery' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Yesterday morning, I hop in the car to go to an event in southern Dade County (yes, I had my passport firmly in hand, with an Uzi in the other lest the natives be a bit frisky).
The engine cranks over a slight bit sluggish, which I attribute to jealousy directed at the Harley that has been getting a lot of attention lately.
No big deal, the amps will flow and thus revive the Odyssey AGM as I drive south, I reason to myself.
I get to the event parking, and park. I get out of the car. Hmmm, I see there is room to could ease it over 3 inches to the right and be less likely to get a door ding from the right side (I was in the end spot, protected on the starboard side by landscaping). I put the key in the appropriate place, twist and ......... nothing. Dead silence. I try again and again the engine produces naught but silence. Sobbing ensues.
I had a guy in a BWX X5 give me a jump start (we could not find his battery, but the Beemer has cool jump points under the bonnet). That didn't work either. 55 minutes later, a flatbed rolls up. The guy jumps out, makes a few clucking noises, and asks if we can try jumping it. He has a portable battery pack in his hand as he asks. I say, "sure, knock yourself out."
We do the connection thing and the engine springs into life. Hmm, bad cell in the battery I suspect. Time to haul butt home.
Hours later, the car is home, the new battery ordered and en route.
We didn't get to do the seafood festival festivities, but the werewife did say, "Maybe it's time to get the GT3 you've been wanting. You can keep this one If you want."
Thank you baby jesus!!
How old was your battery? Reason I ask is, you should have heard something. Even a clunk as the starter engaged. Are you sure that the switch on the clutch pedal is not at fault? Just a thought.
I would have thought the same thing, however I recently had a sudden death of a battery in my Jeep that was similar to the OP's. In my case, there was absolutely zero indication the battery was going. On one start, the starter cranked just as fast as always. Went to go back out 15 minutes later and nothing....not a click, not a sound. Turned out to just be the battery.
