My airbag light is on once again, and I wanted to pick up a Durametric to clear it myself. (After cleaning the contacts inside the passenger seat belt buckle) I was browsing some older threads last night, and ran across one that said Durametric sometimes has refurbished enthusiast kits for sale. Called them up this morning to ask, and sure enough, they did have some available. I bought one for $225 shipped. Glad I passed up the one that ended on e-bay last night for $260 with shipping and one VIN already used. Just sharing the info for anyone interested.

I saw that in a few of the threads I read last night, but opted to go for the Durametric anyway. I figure I may end up using it for more than just clearing the airbag light in the future. I'm sure I'll be able to sell it for close to what I paid if I decide I don't need it any longer.

Yeah really no wrong or right on this one. If you have the funds, the durametric is def the better way to go. At the same time, if you've been saving like me for those $50k magnesium rims, you need to skimp anywhere you can.

I have a Durametric, but rarely use it for clearing codes, since I picked up a bluetooth reader that connects to the performance monitoring app on my iphone. Works very well.
