Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey guys, I wanted to share some details on the
FUNCTION-FIRST Performance
kits that raise your shifter assembly 2 inches closer to the steering wheel.
This upgrade is especially useful for those of you tracking and racing your cars.
For comparison, all factory Cup cars have raised shifter assemblies to reduce the time your hands are off the steering wheel, resulting in greater car control and faster shifts.
The
CONSOLE RISER KIT
seamlessly blends into the car, preserving the stock look and function of the OEM interior.
It is the only product of its kind on the market, raising the shifter assembly 2 inches, along with the entire center console!
No other shifter risers out there are compatible with the car's interior.
The other major benefit for street cars is the center console elbow rest is at a much more comfortable height, at an even level with the door armrests.
Now, you'll feel like you're sitting in your car, rather than on it!
The forward center stack configuration is available in either blank, storage bin, or climate control unit.
With the blank option, you can mount switches, gauges, radar detector displays, lap timers, etc. down there.
Fitment is currently only for Coupe models.
(A version for Convertible models is under development.)
And for those of you running with gutted interiors, I offer the
SHIFTER RISER KIT
that utilizes the hardware from the Console Riser Kit, without the carpeted trim and center stack.
If you plan on omitting your e-brake, I offer the shifter spacers by themselves.
Or if you've already purchased another aftermarket shifter riser that will require raising the e-brake to allow for shifter cable clearance, I offer the e-brake spacers by themselves, as well.
All necessary bolts/washers/lock washers/threadlocker are included with each of the configurations.
This will fit all 996 models.
