Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all. Just got my 2001 C4 bake from extensive maintenance which involved dropping the engine and tranny. Part way home. the ABS and PSM lights came on. According to the Durametric, the fault code for the ABS is P5526, Incorrect accelerator pedal value. In addition. the DME had fault codes P0430, P0420, P1219, P1577 and P1578. The accelerator pedal potentiometer was replaced in August. The O2 sensor also replaced in August. It is possible that the engine codes were preexisting and not cleared when the parts were replaced. but, what is P5526? and why are the fault lights lit? Thanks for any insight. Lang G

POST 2Original post

Maybe way off, but have you done a throttle body adaptation? Id do that, clear the codes and go through a few drive cycles to see if the code returns. Its free and easy. I had to do it after my engine swap.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That is an idea. I will give it a try.

POST 5Original post

A little bit of heat on that bushing will break up the oxidation and allow it to move when u tap on the bolt.
