Pricey, but very clean looking and for those that the 996 is their forever car not a bad option.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Very cool! Pricey, but very clean looking and for those that the 996 is their forever car not a bad option.
Don't forget your ancient mobile phone option though!
I have my USB plugs in the back of the storage cubby currently. Might move things around when I pull my dash for re-upholstery over the winter. Thanks in advance for your thread.
I agree. Apple Car Play requires the phone to be plugged in. I don't quite that. I added a bluetooth adapter to mine that is hidden, except for the microphone (above the visor) and small button that I mounted on the dash. I like the updated radio but I would be better off putting that money toward updating my suspension.
I might be in the minority but I think the 996 interior has a slightly vintage look to it and adding current touch screen systems looks out of place. Not that this is anywhere near apples to apples but Singer adds a modern radio but with the old school Becker look to it, which maintains the interiors timeless appearance.
This product actually has a lot of potential when owners see their PCM double DIN units die (which is common occurrence from reading the forums). For $1700, it is a bargain over the PCM2 units sold by Porsche. Last time I checked, the PCM2 replacements from the dealer sells for $5,000+ each. For me personally, I don't use the radio much, I drive a Porsche to leave all that connectivity of the world. I want to disconnect! Yes, I may want to listen to a few of my favorite songs, but I don't want to be bothered by any calls, texts, or anything that would distract me from enjoy a couple of hours of man-therapy.
Understand wanting to want 996 interior to remain vintage look, but I also have gotten very use to the modern advantages of having Apple Car Play for phone calls hands free and Waze for navigation all for about $400. Since AM radio reception difficult, I utilize iHeart radio to find my stations and can that also wirelessly.
I agree that touch screen units look out of place. I went with a Continental because it has modern features but looks more period correct. I don't make or take calls when I'm the 996 so it works great for me.
All very valid points in maintaining authenticity. I understand completely. My C4S is my daily driver, so having hands free and up-to-date navigation with possible hazards and police shown, outweighs my need for period authenticity. But then, my car is kind of modified, lowered, OZ lighter wheels, short shifter, Fabspeed exhaust. I guess I’ll receive grief for those mods also. That’s OK, not making anyone else drive or like it. Just offering my opinion.
Im sorry, are you asking me or another poster? Must admit Im not sure what a MOST unit is. My radio is:
