Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

If I'm not mistaken, I think Zanzibar said once that his posts' format is based upon the device he uses (cell phone maybe?).

Personally I get a kick out of our members who have unique posting styles - Hurdi the grumpy, condescending Brit, KrazyK the obsessive-compulsive antagonist, Kalashnikov the brutal former Eastern-bloc dictator in exile, Cuda the "go ahead & f--- with me and see what happens guy", Imo the "MacGuyver I rebuilt a Ferrari engine using only a pair of needle-nose vise grips", etc.

As far as hiding place goes, use the passenger side door pocket.

Pretty sure that's what most people use for such a purpose.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Planing a road trip and decided to hide a spare
Key. Now I'm thinking I should hide a
Spare credit card just in case
Anyone have preference of gas company
Or other card that would not require a balance
or yearly fee, since ill only use on odd occasion ?
Been on a few road trips, made sure I informed my CCC of my itinerary before the trip so card is not flagged for theft. Only have 2 cards: Primary is AMEX with a Visa as back up since some places do not accept AMEX. BTW, we never carry a balance, always pay it in full by due date. Specially on a motorcycle trip, I carry a spare key full time inside my jacket.
P.S. DTMiller, thought it was just me but having read the OPs previous posts.....not too surprised
Zanzibar always posts in Haiku. Some people dig iambic pentameter. If I'm not mistaken, I think Zanzibar said once that his posts' format is based upon the device he uses (cell phone maybe?). Thank
I only use one card for corporate and personal
I also carry no balance but on odd occasion
They freeze the card and I have to call them
I may just get a couple of other cards with
Low limits just to hide in car
Hmm, ok that kind of clarifies what you wanted.
Capital One cards have no fees and you can get $1,500.00 limit card easily. As far as hiding place goes, use the passenger side door pocket.
You could also just put some cash in the car, or maybe I'm just missing the point of why the money needs to be plastic and complicated.
Hide it in the owner's manual. God knows nobody ever looks in there.
Note that if you post this in the Boxster forum, the recommendation will be to keep it in your bra.
Nailed it! .......and part of the reason the 996 forum is a great place to waste sometime.
Back on topic......I would use some black duct tape and put it inside the front bumper rad duct.
Well, I was trying to determine how to get the chemicals just right in the hot tub so I posted a question in the Bank of America credit card forums.
Staying on topic, I have found that the best place to stash a spare credit card is inside the hot tub filter. No one ever looks there.
I suggest gold bullion. Pretty sure that's what most people use for such a purpose.
That way, you don't have to worry about the bank freezing it, there's no annual fee, and it won't get moldy or eaten by rats like cash might.
U can probably tuck it underneath dash by driver well. Get a semi rigid plastic sleeve and Velcro. I dont know even y I tried to answer this question. Mike
I'm thinking that a spare key probably shouldn't be kept in the car, but instead somewhere on your person.
Are you thinking in terms of being stripped naked by a mugger? Serious question.
I'm thinking worst case I'm 1000 miles from home and have lost everything except car.
I will have hidden in bodywork a key, credit card
and $ 1000 cash
Why not stash a couple of kilos in that bodywork while you're at it? Great for trade, and cops never look in 911's for drugs.
(NSA: it was a joke. Lighten up! Can I call my lawyer?)
Wow, I don't want to travel wherever you are going....sounds like something from Breaking bad.. Best place.....Hide it inside the void behind the rear bumperettes, then you just need to keep an Allen key your pocket to remove the bumperettes. I am a genius.
Done more road trips than I can remember and never had a problem.
I carry two credit cards: AMEX and Visa. One ATM cash card (and the debit card feature disabled). Toss in $200 in cash. And just regular key and one valet key.
The car key has nothing else with it. House keys and such are on their separate key chain.
I would never hide money or credit cards or spare keys anywhere outside the car. Thieves know all the hiding places. All you would be doing is funding someone's weekend getaway with your car, cash, and credit cards.
Also, I see no reason to leave any of the above in the car either. On the road (or around town) I never leave valuables in the car at least overnight even in the trunk. Whatever valuables I have -- laptop, camera, phone, NAVI unit and radar detector -- I take inside with me to the hotel room. The only thing a wanna be car thief can see from outside the car is an empty car. The last thing I want to do with a thief is reward him for smashing a window of my with the keys to the car, some cash and credit cards.
Last but not least, when I park my car at night at a hotel I park it in light and in view of the front desk or in view of surveillance cameras.
As an aside the closest I came to possibly having a problem was somehow I dropped my house keys key chain at a gas station. I don't know how I did this but something prompted me to look down -- maybe I heard the keys hit the ground, or felt the keys brush against my pants leg on the way down -- and I spotted my house key chain laying the pavement next to my car.
