Since we share many common parts and problems, I thought I might post this here. I recently tried a ROW flash on my 2001S but it didn't work properly. My indy tech said perhaps it was because it was a tiptronic. He had only done manual shift cars in the past. He gave me my money back ($250) but didn't have a solution for me. Does anyone have a lead or some pertinent info to give me? Cheers. __________________ JesseJames 2001 986 S Montreal

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Did the car not run or run properly, I would assume a ROW flash concerns only fuel related issues like octane, additives, amd emission.
No, the car ran fine with the flash but it threw codes for the SAI and a transmission code (I forget which one). Normally with a ROW flash, the ECU shouldn't even see the secondary air injection stuff so obviously the mod wasn't working properly. I hate that CEL staring me in the face.

I'd be more concerned as to why he didn't know that. The software contains calibration settings for shift points as well. That is why you got the transmission code.
