If I remember correctly a new battery (or fully charged old battery) followed by a reset procedure fixed this.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I searched the forums and found out that most of unlock/lock questions are in regards to getting a beep or honk when locking the car.
My questions is getting the headlights to flash. My car does not flash when locking/unlocking the car. Is this an option that can be turned on? It would be helpful to get confirmation that the car is locked from a distance.
thank you
Mine flashes ones when i unlock it and twice when i lock it and arm it. If the car is unlocked, and i hit the button twice really quick, it will beep the horn and the light will stay on for couple of seconds solid and it will be locked and armed.
I think the fob is an absolute piece of s...t and can not believe they made it this way. First off, put two buttons, lock and unlock so i know what i am doing, and the range?!? Some times from two feet it's a challenge.

@mrtoro
- did you ever resolve the issue where your lights stopped flashing when locking/unlocking the car? This just happened to my 99 C2. Thanks
They wouldnt flash so I sold the carI did sell that car but not for that reason. If I remember correctly a new battery (or fully charged old battery) followed by a reset procedure fixed this. There was a write up on reset. You need to hold the key in certain position for 5 seconds, switch again. Do a couple of jumping jacks.
I do remember getting them to flash. Good luck, sorry I am not much help, its been a while.
