I have been having wiper parking issues so opened up all the wiring looms under the dash to figure that out and while i was at it i followed the wires for that and it is a radar detector speaker apparently the car use to have the system installed but everything got removed but the wiring and the speaker so i cut all the wiring and stuff out while i had it apart.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

So i have a 2002 911 convertible and this wire harness has been in my glove box since ive owned the car and im not sure what its for anyone have any idea it has an after market radio i stalled im thinking its something to do with that maybe but if its not needed i wanna remove it

POST 2Original post

You must have not have had an iPhone or iPod before 2012. That's the original dock connector for those. Its connected to the aux in of the radio.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Any idea about this thing i found ziptied under drivers side dash

POST 4Original post

Escort makes radar detectors, but I don't know what that is specifically. Does your car have a built-in radar detector system where that's the speaker? It looks quite old if so.
