Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
Id you replace with a head unit that has analog outputs, you need to add an A/D converter that will provide the signal the amp needs.
Leading evidence: 'Replace with a head unit' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace with a head unit' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I think I should start by saying I dont want to abuse the privilege of relying on other 996 owners for information and help. If Im overdoing it please tell me. Im not the most savvy about social media etiquette. This IS social mediaright?
The question for those who have gotten one of these; is it plug & play with the stock speakers? Or is there more thats required besides the head unit? My car has the factory cassette head unit (picture below).
Also, would love to get any opinions about the product.
Thanks in advance!
They sell a harness for the continental that makes it plug and play with the factory setup. Its escaping me at the moment where i bought it from but i have it and it was in The last year, so its probably still available for purchase...Call whoever you want to buy the deck from or Google it and I'm sure they will have it.
Unless if you have a MOST system... you'll have to either gut your system or figure out how to get the fiber converter to work with the Continental, that's where I am.

call them to confirm they have a few. There is a fiber one too, so the other guy is mistaken or has some other issue not from factory.
Ah ok I see it now... page loaded completely... ship's email is slower than hell. Bergvillfx.com sells the harnesses and also can tell you what type of system you have, from what I've searched here... everyone loves their Continental set up. The MOST system has fiber optic inputs which limits your radio options, Bose units with certain amps have the fiber set up.

Scroll to the bottom and you'll see the MOST note. Either way the OP doesn't have that radio so he's good with just the adapter and radio.

they sell adaptors for all variants there is one for the MOST or so it its advertised.search returned a few different harness compatable with "most"
I've been looking at one from Carnaviplayer.com too. Just recently(like last week) had the same questions as the OP and started looking only to realize my particular C2 had the MOST. Thanks for the link, going to check this one out.
The OEM MOST setup has a digital optical output that that runs to the amp. Id you replace with a head unit that has analog outputs, you need to add an A/D converter that will provide the signal the amp needs. AKA, a MOST box. These can be had on eBay for ~ $80. The only downsides are they are usually 2 channel only so you lose fader control, and tend to add noise so you may need to add a noise suppressor.
