I replaced my original date coded motor mounts with 100k on them and they looked perfect- no leaking, just slight cracks in the rubber starting.

I'm not sure if adjusting the tail pipes is possible, but that's exactly what my C4S exhaust looked like.

It definitely took less time to replace the motor mounts than it did to get the tip clamps off and back on again...

Given the zen-like nature of a motor mount swap, I think some people will recommend you change them every time you change the oil.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

At the risk of not being a smart-***, I do believe on your car the exhaust tips are adjustable, so maybe you just need to adjust them. But again, you'll get lots of "yes, change them" answers with promises of everything from an extra 20 hp at the rear wheels to longer lasting orgasms. When I changed them on my car, I didn't notice a difference, frankly.
I'm not sure if adjusting the tail pipes is possible, but that's exactly what my C4S exhaust looked like. I replaced my engine mounts and now they only hang about 1.25" from the lip. The car idles smoother, shifting is more precise and my handling seems more precise.

While I agree motor mount swaps don't cure cancer, that mysterious genital itch you have developed, or your wife's lack of sex drive. But on my car they made a noticeable difference in idle vibration and shifting.
Motor mounts are a wearing item, and our cars are 11+ years old now. Yes, the sagging exhaust is the most visible sign that your motor mounts are worn and require replacement. Eventually the oem mounts will tear and the hydraulic fluid inside will leak out as mine did.
For reference, my motor mount replacement from earlier this summer:

The exhaust is easily adjustable- just loosen the bolt on the band connector to the mufflers, and twist the extensions to raise/lower/adjust them in the openings.
I replaced my original date coded motor mounts with 100k on them and they looked perfect- no leaking, just slight cracks in the rubber starting. The new mounts did not raise the exhaust/motor and there was no perceptible difference in deflection or operation between 100k mile 12-year old mounts and new ones. FYI
On my car - never registered in any snow state, and pretty much completely rust-free - the clamp hardware that holds the tips to the mufflers was impossibly rusted; I had to grind through the bolt. Loosening that clamp may be an ordeal.
For another data point - my '99 with about 65K on it had one sagging mount.
It definitely took less time to replace the motor mounts than it did to get the tip clamps off and back on again...
