Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Pelican parts has a great write up. There is a push tab at the top that you have to push in to get it to release

POST 3Original post

Have you tried just replacing the switch? Probably 90% of the time (just made that stat up, but it's probably close), it's just the cheap & easy to replace electrical portion of the switch. This forum is filled with posts talking about how people could have sworn they had bad tumblers and it couldn't just be the electrical switch because the ignition was all "crunchy" and grabbing the key, etc. But, it turned out to be just the electrical portion of the switch. I'd try replacing the electrical portion of the switch first, if you haven't already tried that. An analogy is a light in your house that doesn't work. First step is to change the bulb, not to change out the entire fixture.
