If you use one of these, do a great job taping/masking off all around since the sling-off would be a PIA to clean off the interior...

Its a bit tricky as the scratches can be hard to see (and to determine if they are on the inside or outside) but after a while of looking I was able to identify them and use focused level 3 applications on them.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

It really was amazing how well it worked on the deep scratches.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So I used the Novus 1-2-3 products to take the scratches out of my '99 cabs plastic rear window, on the outside of the car. Is there any easy (er) way to polish the inside of the window? Access is quite limited. Any ideas?

POST 2Original post

You may want to determine the LOE for removing the top? If not, I have a 3" random orbital tool from Griots that is compact, I suspect something like that would be small enough and deliver the HP you need to knock out this DIY. You weren't going to do it by hand were you... If you use one of these, do a great job taping/masking off all around since the sling-off would be a PIA to clean off the interior... my $.02. Good Luck!

POST 3Original post

NOT ME OR MY CAR....but that lil doohickey is what I use. N.B. I have glass windows but get good results with PLEXUS for non-glass surfaces (e.g. plexiglass, acrylic, etc.)

POST 4Original post

How much difference did the Novus 123 product make after only doing the outside? Is it worth it? My conv top plastic is starting to bug me, and Im wondering if its even worth trying to fix...

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The Novus did a great job. I went over the entire rear window with level 3 twice and then looked for deep scratches to focus on. It really was amazing how well it worked on the deep scratches. Its a bit tricky as the scratches can be hard to see (and to determine if they are on the inside or outside) but after a while of looking I was able to identify them and use focused level 3 applications on them.
