Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I ceramic coated my AOS when I replaced it, and then hot-glued some glitter on it just to jazz it up.
Leading evidence: 'Replace air oil separator' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check gas tank' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

We use cryo(different company from above) to strengthen small vacuum pickup tools used on our line to improve wear.

I would, however, check your gas tank for Burmese Gas Worms as I understand they like glitter.......

I know Jake said he used cryo bolts on his street engine but it sounds like something that would benefit a track car more than a grocery getter.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I am curious as to whether anyone had any engine parts cryogenically enhanced? From other posts, I understand that Jake has done this to connecting rods for some of his builds. Although in the past I have had some of the pieces jet hot coated, I sometimes wonder if applying a ceramic coating to other external parts would be of any value.
The axle shafts in my jeep r cryoed and they have not broke but doubt its the cryo. They r 1.5" 300m so they r beefy. Also had a set of toyota 8" gears in a buggy, they broke the second trip out. I really just think its application specific and it can strengthen a component but not significantly.
When I was in manufacturing in the late 90's, we would send milled aluminum cassettes (bike gears) to get cryogenically treated for some marginal wear improvement.
Ended up being too expensive to put into full production.
What posts? Where are they? And where did you hear about or ever hear about enhancing car parts cryogenically?
My Porsche 996, because it is so rare and special, was entirely cryogencially enhanced for $2,000,000. I love the overall boost in performance. I think it got me 600 HP more. And it runs so much better. I ceramic coated my AOS when I replaced it, and then hot-glued some glitter on it just to jazz it up. You should see how it performs now!
DBJoe996, please!......I suggest you refer to Raby's reply on post titled My FSI 4.0 review and Raby's reply on 12-13-2020-11.43 a.m.

C'mon...I was trying to be humorous because this seems a little ridiculous. I see under "Process" cold forged, but nothing about cyrogenically enhanced

Sales people want you to cryo everything! Spark plugs?

Still searching for the complete cryo-dipping with glitter service.
We use cryo(different company from above) to strengthen small vacuum pickup tools used on our line to improve wear. The tool is ridiculously precise and therefore expensive. Without treating it lasts for 50000 picks. With treating it lasts 400000. Well worth the extra cost.
For an engine? Seems like you would need to do this on all wear surfaces for it to make sense.
Interesting topic, I have not heard of this. I hope Jake or Charles or someone with potential experience with this can add some context with regard to proper application of this technique. I know Jake said he used cryo bolts on his street engine but it sounds like something that would benefit a track car more than a grocery getter.
i'm interested in learning about the technology.
I'm a stock kind of guy, but understanding the possible mods to cars is always fun to learn.
Be encouraged folks!
Any & all of the exhaust system will benefit from ceramic coating, keeping the heat inside will speed exhaust flow & minimize corrosion on the outside.
