Hello al I purchased a 2002 996 boxster and the headlights occasionally stop working leaving me just with the side lights. now the headlights windscreen wipers and washers have all failed and the air bag warning light has come up. they all worked on my way to the shops then after I got back in the car, they didn�t. And still do not. has anyone got any ideas about this please?

That's a pretty general electrical fault. It's possible that your light switch is begining to fail. I would start by cleaning and/or replacing it. Ha no I just mean Tesco ! I just went out in it again and discovered that the steering wheel lock is no longer engaging and the key isn�t pulling out of the ignition as freely. So good potential news; if I turn the ignition to the left one click all the electrics work again but I still have the air bag warning light illuminated. im wondering if the problem is in fact the ignition Alistair

It's a pretty easy fix, if you have small hands or you remove the driver's side speaker. I think the airbag light can only be turned off at the dealership or via durametric.
