Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that suspect a cause

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'air oil separator' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'air oil separator' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Well, after more then 2 months of searching, shopping and now shipping, my C4S is here in Minnesota. I took her right off of the truck and instantly into the shop at my school and did a detailed inspection. Only issue is, one oil leak that I am not sure what the seal is where it is coming from, I'm hoping you can help me identify. Anyway, here are some pictures:
I am attributing the oil leak to the purge valve on top of the cam. Any thoughts on that? I am thinking (hoping) that because of the awkward angle the car was in during shipping made the oil come out the valve.
The PO has been very helpful and is genuinely surprised by the oil leak. And I trust him.
If anyone has any insight, it is appreciated.

Hey DC Josh,
Are the headlights on that car upgraded in any way? Yours are so bright, and I have always thought mine were extremely dim. I have an 03 C2.
AOS = behind the (US) drivers right butt cheek.
The wet plate with the bolts through it is your 4-6 oil scavenge pump.
There is a green plug above it that can leak. If you had a PPI done before your purchase they might have disturbed it.
Looking at the accumulated dirt it may have been sweating for awhile with no drops actually hitting the floor.
Clean it up and drive it to see if it leaks again.
If it does you may need to change the green plug (pops in/out like a cork) or the secondary oil pump "O" ring seal.

So, there seems to be an oil leak which is making quite a mess under the car and causing a oil mist that is getting on the back of the car.
I think the culprit may be this:

Has anyone had any issues with this piece or know of a write up on how to replace it? It looks like the AC lines are in front of it...
Regards,
DC Josh
The green cam shaft plug was completely gone. I did not notice it until today. I have driven it about 200 miles trying to diagnosis the issues and I never even noticed that it was missing. Now I know why it was making such a mess and why there were no other symptoms that would point it to being the AOS. The local NAPA will have one in for me by tomorrow morning at 7am, I will be there with coffee in hand, ready to get this on my Porsche and to really stretch her legs.
The cam plugs don't just don't pop out like that on their own. You are probably having the same problem I had. Someone over did it on the valve cover sealant now the cam plug won't hold it will just pop out again under hard acceleration.

Thanks, but I realized after I ordered the green cam plug that I was wrong and I actually needed the brown ones (

)
There are only two per engine. All of the green plugs are in. The brown plug on the drivers side, near the AOS, is still in. It is only the brown(factory) plug that is out on the front passengers side nearest the drive belt. Pelican parts is sending the plug to me today. I am still wondering why it came out though.
