Several years ago, I had the US MO3O installed for $450.

but if you plan to do 15-20 track days per year while still wanting a street ride the ingredients change somewhat.

Any other typical suspension wear components I should look at replacing while putting in the ROW setup?

I recall the price being $1,200 a couple of years ago too, probably should have gotten a set given the lower price then and stronger currency exchange compared to now.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It's also available through Gert at Carnewal, pricing is usually very similar as it is based on the euro exchange rate. Suspension is my next big project, I keep waffling between RoW M030 and Eibach springs/sways with Bilstein sports, as either option is basically the same price.
Suspension is on my list for next year, so I'll be very interested to see where you land. FWIW, I have been leaning toward the Eibach spring/sway kit with either Bilstein Sports or Konis.
I'm leaning towards the Eibach route, as I suspect I would find myself wanting something more aggressive than the RoW M030. I need to call Eibach tech support sometime, as I'm very curious if the spring rates are optimized for use with a specific shock. Bilsteins can be custom valved, but that isn't cheap.
For you guys on the fence I would differently jump off it and do this....suspension upgrades are one of the biggest improvement to your car you can do. Now if you wanted more cowbell the X74 kit unbelievable...too bad it is no longer made. Sure you can piece something together but sticking with Pcar parts is always a selling point.
That's about the price I bought mine for a couple of years ago.
I wanted the X74 but they were nowhere to be found.
This is a good suspension if you're not looking for significantly lower ride height.
This and everything else as members have noted. Just from my time in owning my 996, I've seen the ROW Suspension kits, GT3 Control Arms, OEM Body Kits, Some Tequipment items, GT3 Swaybars, Center Radiators, Headlights go up in price.
BTW, the ROW kit was the first mod I did and it was around $950 shipped back then.
It's even better if you lower it with the H&R springs !! those springs work well together with the ROW 030 shocks.
that kit comes with different sway bars as well!
Time for me to jump into the suspension replacement/upgrade for my 2002 996 C4 Cab, so is there a thread that already exists that outlines the options? I'm not looking for a track-day setup, which in my opinion is simply too much for my 97k mile DD P-car. I'm also running 19" rims, so I don't want to lower the car much, if at all. The Eibach/Bilstein combo sounds like it may be the right approach for me; is this outlined somewhere?
Thanks in advance...
I recall the price being $1,200 a couple of years ago too, probably should have gotten a set given the lower price then and stronger currency exchange compared to now.
Also wondering if just the strut and spring are available without the sway bars for a bit of saving? I don't need new/different sway bars as the sway bars don't wear out like struts or springs.
This thread also popped up in the 997 forum

Everybody I know uses (including me). The h&r setup. If you want to buy separately for track go with h&r and bilstein "sport". (As opposed to HD). If you want stock keep eom springs and go with HD's. The options are well documented on the forum
Any other typical suspension wear components I should look at replacing while putting in the ROW setup? I know nothing about suspension setups. Have 82k miles on the car.
I drove my friends S2000 yesterday and it felt so tight, made me pull the trigger on the ROW setup.
the S2000 is a really nice package... although it's definitely a lower level in terms of refinement than a 996 - but it's more "track ready" than a standard 996 that's for sure...
@ 82K miles you should check and replace all of the following components for "play"
control arms
end links
rear end links
rear toe links
front strut mounts (although if you've never tracked your car you should be ok here because they are really really durable part)
you mentioned your not going to track your car so stick with stock OEM replacement parts above - oh and also get a good "sporty" alignment... makes a world of difference.... with this setup you can sure as hell take it to the track and have lots of fun... but if you plan to do 15-20 track days per year while still wanting a street ride the ingredients change somewhat.
The OP doesn't need track is pension. PSS10 costa $3k and is much more expensive install and doesn't include sway bars.
Row 030 makes a nice diff easy install and still decent price at $1400. IMHO
About 6 years ago I got a new PSS10 setup for $1,850, just lucky I guess. They were actually advertised as PSS9's but when the arrived they were PSS10's. The cost to in stalled them is almost the same as same. Maybe an hour more.
Then I got as sett of eibach sways for $100 new. The internet can be your friend.
In a any case either set up is a big improvement over stock. I still have the stock parts for a C4 sitting in boxes if anyone is interested.
that's a great price for a $3K part... !!! wow... the only extra for a coilover system is the extra labor to corner balance... but shouldn't more than $100 on top of standard alignment?
I put PSS10's in my car yesterday with new brakes, tires and a 4 wheel corner balanced alignment. What an amazing difference in the front bob and roll in cornering. The car is so planted it will take some practice to get used to it. Time to head to the mountains.
I just got mine from them. Took awhile but since it was a 2002 C4 Cab it was "Special order" from Germany. So its in the shop now getting a clutch and suspension installed.
I see by your pic RDykmans that you track. I just drive LOL. I do whip up Bear Mountain and Storm King Mountain by my house. I loved the way my C4 felt from the factory but I heard all the praises from my friends that have the M030 so I got it.

I'm ordering a kit soon - floating down the highway is NOT what a Porsche should be doing! Problem is every indy is quoting me $1200-$1400 for the install w/ alignment! Yikes!
