Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

If you have one (or purchase this one), the thing to do is replace its internals with those available from Guard Transmission.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Hello! I'm writing from Italy. I have a 996 carrera 1998 vin WP0ZZZ99ZWS606909. I find a limited slip differential code 95033208301. Is it ok for my car or is it for 993? Thank you. Dimitri.

POST 2Original post

I believe the LSD for 99 is G99633208301, but very possible that works in 996, I would call a Porsche transmission rebuild specialist shop.

POST 3Original post

You are considering a 20%/40% LSD that was originally used in the 1996 - 1998 C4 and Turbo. The history of these LSDs is that they were weak to begin with, and wore out quickly. If you have one (or purchase this one), the thing to do is replace its internals with those available from Guard Transmission. You can also purchase fresh internals (clutch discs, cup springs, etc.) from Porsche, but you're back to an LSD that is fairly useless.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Mmh I think is not a good bussiness...for $ 800 plus installation... But I drive the car only on street for about 1000 miles for year...

Save your money. You'll never notice an LSD on the street.
