Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello all, new to this forum and Porsche ownership I did poke around in some threads before posting I just dont know what to call this part - Ive noticed some weeping that seems to be coming from this area and Im not sure what it is. Any advice is appreciated. thank you these pics are from today after an about 50 miles of driving

POST 2Original post

Looks like you're talking about 7 99610622052 Connection Piece Supply 1 $44.98 You would likely want to replace this gasket. 8 99610631651 Gasket 1 $3.50 http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p...section=104-00

Thank you very much! Looks like it's not terribly complex, is this a common issue?

POST 4Original post

Quotes source post: 18418780

Not really a common issue but gaskets due fail. It appears to be a simple fix. I think its in the coolant jacket so that needs to be drained. Its much easier ti fill the system if u buy a vacuum fill system. If u fill the traditional way it may take 6-10 heat cycles to get the air out

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 18418812

Thank you - I 'm realizing I didn't specify in my original post, but it appeared to be oil weeping from that gasket area I circled in the pic, and those are coolant lines into the oil pump correct?

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ive added some more pics Im concerned what this might be if anyone has some advice thanks you in advance

POST 7Original post

Yes its a coolant passage. Both run through that casset. Study that diagram as u can see how that chamber goes up to the output coolant hose neck. If it looks like oil then it can be driping from somewhere else and just collecting in that surface. Lots of wind turbulance under there when driving.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
