Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. I used the autozone high temp caliper paint, with high temp clear over the porsche decals and it turned out great.

Suggestion
My yellow brake calipers do not show dust hardly ever, 1 - I do not let it build-up, I keep my car clean, 2 - my calipers are detailed so that they are slick as the rest of the car by using polishes and waxes.
Leading evidence: 'Use autozone high temp caliper paint' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'porsche uses yellow' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean 2 - my calipers are detailed so' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I used yellow calipers to go with the rest of my cars colour scheme...not to make it look like I have PCCB's.

Suspected cause
I suspect Porsche uses yellow on PCCBs because they generate so little dust.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey guys, I plan on painting my calipers soon but I cannot decide on which color. What color do you guys think would look best on my car. It's a Seal Gray Cab with a Black top.
Russ
red...goes great with grey....and I painted mine about 2 years ago and they still look great, like Tim said about 25 bucks! and as long as you leave your microscope at home....you will NOT see the difference.
I think the powder coated ones brakes better!
Aren't the yellow calipers larger and a six piston set up? I took mine off to do them and sanded the blistering clear the dealership used to freshen them for the PO. They took awhile for paint to dry and could paint the Porsche letters.
Are there any problems rebuilding calipers that have been powder coated.
I know that you have to pull out all of the seals, powder coat, and then have them rebuilt. I thought i read a post once saying that it was some sort of problem getting the parts to properly rebuild the calipers. Is this true?
by the way RED IS BEST.
Here's a link to my thread showing the install of my powder coated rebuilt calipers. I got them from an ebay seller that specializes in Porsche stuff. Let me know if you need there contact information (PM me):

Russ,
Your picture is one of the nicest I've seen. There is already some red (the rear lights) on the car, so I go for red. Is this something you are going to do yourself or have done? if dyi please let me know how you proceeded. I don't want to paint the callipers but do want to paint the hub area between the rotor and the wheel. Very nice pic!

Black,--then you have to spend less time cleaning them. I suspect Porsche uses yellow on PCCBs because they generate so little dust. If you paint non-PCCB brakes yellow be prepared to spend a lot of time on them in the future.
Yellow--poseur....
Disagree
My yellow brake calipers do not show dust hardly ever, 1 - I do not let it build-up, I keep my car clean, 2 - my calipers are detailed so that they are slick as the rest of the car by using polishes and waxes. So the issue with spending a lot of time cleaning is not an issue.
I used yellow calipers to go with the rest of my cars colour scheme...not to make it look like I have PCCB's. I mean what colour choices do I have: Black - could not see the calipers behind the black spokes, Red - I do not want to introduce a colour that is not in the car (except rear lights). So I went yellow but am I 'suppose' to follow the un-written rule that if I go with yellow calipers I have to have PCCB's....no. If you think I am a poseur because my calipers are painted yellow, then that's your opinion, will you then walk up to me if you saw my car and tell me I am a poseur trying to look like I have PCCB's when I don't, I don't think so, but you can see they are not PCCB's by the size of them. Just had a thought, if I bought PCCB's and had them painted a different colour, then what have I done
Remember it's just a colour and nothing more
As I said before in this thread...
RED
is the perfect colour for the OP's car
Yup. Red for sure. I did this on my zenith blue and my dad's old artic silver...it looked really good. My hint: use 400 grit sandpaper on the calipers before painting. I used the autozone high temp caliper paint, with high temp clear over the porsche decals and it turned out great. Scott.
Yeah, I can. How many you want?
Pics 1 & 2 are after painting and applying the decals.
Pics 3 & 4 are immediately after applying clear coat.
Pic 5 is 11 months after they were painted.
Oh yeah it's such a crime to break away from tradition, so many culprit's out there driving around in there C2 or C4 with red calipers
As for me I am so in trouble for having yellow calipers and they are not PCCB's
