In the rear however Porsche calls for 18x10 et47 rims (using 265/35/18), not 18x11, so I think your 275/35/18 tires will look slightly stretched on the 18x11 rims, ignoring the need for spacers too.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey guys - I've ben searching the threads and either my searching skills are crap or there isn't much on this or it's an obvious thing that I don't know enough about...but help me out with this question if possible:
Can I run the following offsets on my 2004 C4S Cab WITHOUT spacers:
Front wheels: 18x8 ET57 running 225/40/18 winter tires
Rear wheels: 18X11 ET51 running 275/35/18 winter tires
And if I do need spacers, what size?
Thank you in advance for your wisdomzzz!!!
I have a 996.2 4s and run winter tires/rims. The fronts normally call for 50mm offset on 18x8 so you will need 7mm spacers. In the rear however Porsche calls for 18x10 et47 rims (using 265/35/18), not 18x11, so I think your 275/35/18 tires will look slightly stretched on the 18x11 rims, ignoring the need for spacers too. I mistakenly put 265/35/18 winter rears on the summer 18x11 et45 rims and successfully made it through a winter, but the tires looked very stretched. I ultimately picked up a pair of 18x10et47 rims and made it through the next winter on the correct set up. Good Luck.
Yes they are 997 Carrera 3 rims which I got for a great price. Using them as my winter set. Dont care that theyre 11 on the rear. Its not like Im trying to drive through 6 inches of snow on the regular. Just need to know whether they will clear the calipers
I think with 7mm spacers in the front and 6mm in the the rear (stock is 18x11 et45) it should work but I've personally never tried it so please get a 2nd opinion.
They'll fit just fine without spacers, but they will look a bit sunken into the fender wells. This is actually a good thing in some ways since the car is better protected from tire spray when the wheels don't stick out as far.
Interesting...I got 7mm and 5mm spacers from ECS Tuning as a safety precaution....just eyeballing the front calipers....it doesn't feel like I have 6mm of wiggle room there....could be wrong. Any insight color there Captain?
Turns out I didnt need spacers to clear the front brake calipers amazingly. However, the installer did mention that because the offset went from 50 to 57, the wheels looked a bit sunken into the wheel well, so I kept the 8mm ECS Tuning spacers on to get the wheels back to their normal place in the wheel well:

The other issue I had was trying to find Winter snow tires that would fit the 18x11 rears. Ended up going with 275/35R18 Blizzaks. Yes the sidewall is stretched a bit, but it wasnt nearly as bad as I feared:
yeah, a little stretchy stretch, but Im kinda digging this look tbh:
There she is after a quick pressure wash/foam cannon job:
