This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

What Dan said. But if you don't want to spend the money, I'd offer up a 12-pack of good beer and see if a Rennlister near you would volunteer. It's super easy to do and takes literally seconds. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...l#post16884327

1. need a 4 lever stock, anything else? 2. click send enable? 3. drink 12 pack afterwards, right?

You can use switches (will need two) instead of a stalk if you have unused buttons next to the climate control. You'll also need to make a little wiring harness to run from the switches or the stalk into the back of the instrument cluster.

Thanks for the details. Im looking for recommendations for a mechanic in LA who can do this for me. Ive never had the aptitude to work on my cars.

Yes, the correct stalk or what Billup said about switches. My comment about it just taking seconds was replying to the OP's question about "turning on the OBC". BTW, your number 3 always applies to 996 projects. Regional subforums? Even after 16 years, I guess it's never too late to learn something new.
