POST 2Original post

Damn, this is giving companies like BBS a great run for their money. Where is it made and what kind of certifications does it have?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 12492942

The wheels are VIA and JWL Certified, they are manufactured in Taiwan, the manufacture who has been offering us the 808-Series wheels is now built this wheel in Semi-forged. The back of the spokes also has less mass requirements as you can see from this photo: (This helps reduce the weight of the wheel and gives you more low-end speed at launch)

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 12493305

Thank you! Here's the Hyper Silver version....

POST 6Original post

Jeez, those look good. The subtle extensions in the spokes really makes them pop.

POST 7Original post

I wish they came in more narrow body friendly offsets.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 12499314

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 12499518

Huh? These were built mainly around the Porsche 996 Narrow body.... Factory front 18x8 (et. 50) This wheel 18x8 (et. 45) Factory rear 18x10 (et. 65) This wheel 18x10 (et. 50) Fronts are spaced out 5mm Rears are spaced out 15mm

POST 10Original post

From what I've read a +50 is a really tight fit and causes rubbing on some cars. My car is a 2000 model C2 which is said to have less rear clearance than later 02+ cars.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 12499655

The 50-et. is a good fit either models 99-01 or 02-04, now if you are lowering the modifying the car + camber then it will get tight, we use the 19x8.5 and 19x10 standard on all of our 996NB applications. We will be taking actual photos sometime this week on the 996, so if you are seriously considering please hold on so we can get you better fitment details.

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 12499664

We offer trade-in credits towards your purchase!!!!! Come on TEXAS!!!

POST 15Original post

Do you have pics of the exact weight to a tenth of a lb? Might be a good looking alternative to the OZ alleggerita.

POST 16Original post

If those weights are accurate, a 9"/12" (or even 11" rear) option would be killer. 245/315 (those not using 315 are using 275-295 at least) is such a common tire size for track use but you can't find wheels the right size without going custom.

POST 17Original post

Quotes source post: 12499655

Bull$hit!(per Quadcammer). Those are the best offsets you can have on a 996 IMO filling out your wheel wells as best as possible. OZ's are ugly IMO and these look way better. If I didn't already have my BBS and Champions, I'd be all over these in a heartbeat. These are probably the best, lightest, stylish wheels currently on the market for the price IMO. It sure beats the slightly outdated and more dull looking Victor Innsbruck too IMO.

POST 18Original post

Nice looking wheel. Any plans to make 4S/turbo fitment?

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 12500405

We would have to re-scale however the best of our recollection right off the pallet the front was 18.1-lbs and the rear was 19.15-lbs So there were just about 1/10th a fraction over the posted weights.

POST 20 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 12500534

We do have plans of bringing in the 11" rears in wide-body applications, however the demand for narrow body cars running the 11" rears is uncertain. We wanted to build something that was light weight, stylish and affordable. You may or may no know this unless you are in the manufacturing side of things but each mold front and rear cost $10,000 to draft, draw, and make, so before we make one wheel we are 20K in without one wheel made. I just want to throw this out there so you all can understand why we don't offer many different styles. We are hoping to grow our wholesale market but it's tougher than it was before 2006. We certainly hope you will consider buying a set and post up photos, we are working on getting them installed on a 996/944/928 (just for fun) and even a 993 n/b. We will see what happens!

POST 21 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 12500704

How do you think the market looks for Turbo/C4S guys? If we did we would only need to build a rear at 18x11, the the front the same and use a lower off-set, maybe et.40 Give me feedback, or maybe we should post on the Turbo side?

POST 22Original post

Quotes source post: 12501144

I'm sure a lot of 4S and turbo owners would consider this wheel if it was offered at similar prices. I'd definitely post in boost forum to gauge interest.

POST 23 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 12501202

Pretty sure we can keep the prices consistent across the board for the wide-body guys... Let us know if you post up an interest thread so we can chime in and link photos!

LOL.... Okay, we will post soon, but I want to try and get some photos on the 996 before we do this. This way we can have something to display, Give us a couple of days. Thanks,

Quotes source post: 12502188

Great, .... We'll post a link here once I get photos on a 996 in the next day or two.. Thanks,

POST 28Original post

I'd be all over a set of these for my new to me C4S

POST 29Original post

Can't wait to see them mounted on a NB car. Time to refresh the suspension so mounting some new 18s (over my 17s) would be a sweet upgrade....

POST 30 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 12503563

We should be placing them on the 996 NB today... photos to post shortly after! -WD

POST 32 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 12503918

No can do, we seem to receive more negative comments on Rennlist over any other forum so we probably won't do that. (Guess everyone is dating super models around here )

POST 33Original post

I run 8,5x18 et40 & 11x18 et55 's on a narrowbody. Not issues whatsoever. Fenders rolled, front camber 3,2 deg, rear 2,3 deg. Tyres are 235/40 & 295/30 MPSC2s.

POST 34 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 12504505

We will more than likely offer an 11" for wide body cars before offering them for narrow body cars. The design of these wheels doesn't give us that much space to go higher in off-set, this would mean the cost of an additional mold or modifying one of the molds with less concave in order to achieve this higher off-set.

POST 35 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quick snap.... Great fit, zero rub on this lowered 996 nb... Cranked the wheels all the way front and back on Michelin 225/40/18 and 265/35/18 (factory sizes) Please note, due to the deepest concave we could get out of this wheel the lug bolts on the rear will poke out, this is since the back-pad is as low as safely possible. We will post up more tomorrow... just a last minute preview.

POST 36Original post

I live in So Cal and I have purchased wheels from them and installed onsite. Nothing but a great experience!! Also they lowered my car and installed both Fabspeed exhaust and Fabspeed intake. Great prices and service. Buy with confidence. Eli and his group will treat you right.

POST 37Original post

Quotes source post: 12503950

Really? Bummer! What kind of moron would complain about beautiful bikini clad women? Whatever... Nice wheels...

POST 39Original post

Quotes source post: 12506065

Yeah I was surprised by that statement too

POST 40Original post

More pics on the nb car please ! (Not lowered if possible )

POST 41Original post

I just ordered a set of these wheels directly from Wheel Dynamics. I went with the hyper silver. I also got the zinc coated lug nuts and center caps. I won't be able to get them on my car for about 2-3 weeks, but as soon as I do the pictures will be posted. I have a 2002 C2, stock suspension. I also want to mention I spoke with Eli, and not only did he answer a lot of questions about wheels, he didn't mind chatting about a few other Porsche subjects. So far the experience has been great.

We are also working on processing images for Satin Black as well, we took those photos however we need time to process, upload, host etc. Thank you all and remember you can call if you need tech advice or assistance since we also offer tires for your package needs as well. I think if you had these in gold they would look fantastic on black cars.

POST 51 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 12525549

If you want to have use production a custom color we can do but need to have at least 10-sets total pre-sold in order to do a production run for this. We have a minimum of 120-pieces on any one order/color so we will pre-sale 40 wheels and inventory the additional 80-pieces on your request with pre-sales. Food for thought! -Wheel Dynamics

POST 52Original post

Mounted pics are black and silver correct? Can we see the dark silver finish mounted I think I am in for a set if I can use the tires from my GT3 sport designs?

POST 53Original post

Quotes source post: 12526511

As far as I know the wheels come in two finish options: Hyper Silver or Satin Black. Both portrayed in the pics above. The dark silver is just "mood lighting."

POST 54 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 12526511

These wheels are only available in Hyper Silver or Satin Black, we can do a special production run that won't cost you a dime more, the catch is that I need at least 7 pre-orders before I can do this. These wheels are the same width as the factory 18" option on the 993 and 996 so using the factory 225/40/18 and 265/35/18 or 285/30/18 is do-able. The photos show 225 front and 265 rears. In-stock ready to ship same day! To see all of the photos go here: http://wheeldynamics.com/porsche-cars.html Wheel Dynamics Inc.

POST 59Original post

I'm worried the bolts in the back stick out too much, is there a solution

POST 60 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 12573249

The bolts are at the same location as you factory wheels, however given the design of the DEEPEST Concave available for an 18" Porsche fit exposes the bolts that would normally be buried deep in a stock wheel that has not concave design to it. There is not worry, it is simply the design of the wheel, the only way to keep the bolts hidden is if we were to un-concave the wheel, but then you would be left with something like a Victor wheel which is a flat face. -Wheel Dynamics

POST 68Original post

Just got my new wheels installed and they look great. Big improvement over stock. Not sure that the lug bolts in the rear are properly seated (see photo). They make contact on one side only leaving a gap which is largest at the opposite point. Is this intentional or did the shop do something wrong? They are closed today but will go back Monday to be sure. Overall very happy with the wheels.

Looks the same on the other cars pics too now that you point it out. I think its the wheels design.

POST 70Original post

There is nothing wrong with how the rear lug nuts are seated. Yes, there is a gap. That is the one trade off of achieving a deep concave design on the rear wheel. The lug nuts are positioned exactly where they have always been, nothing has changed with the physical positioning of the lug nuts. You're good, no trip back necessary. My earlier posts show both my front and rear wheel and they look exactly the same as yours.

The "Gap" that you are referring to is actually the design of the lug bolt, I've attached so you can see this design in the bolt. If there was really this gap your car would be undriveable.

I want to correct my word choice on my previous post. There is no gap. As Wheel Dynamics pointed out, it's the design of the lug nut and the uniquely shaped washer.

If we were to use the bolt on the left this illusion would not be seen, however the bolt on the right is a swivel base washer consistent with the factory design (this twin style is actually found on most Cayenne models) which prevents the paint stripping or scoring during tightening or torque setting.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
