Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The two-part clearcoat I used cost about $30 per can and is only good for 24 hours but was well worth it.

What you should do no matter the paint you are going to use ; clean well with wax and grease remover, or silicone remover to get all the interior dressings off.

I wish I had used very high quality paint/primer/prep materials from the start.

spray paint according to directions On floppy parts like rubber you have to use flex agent, but if you dont touch them alot you may skip it.

Sand all parts completely with 600 wet ( some people may use others) clean with cleaners again, let dry out a day in the sun (cleaners will soak in plastic, they have to dry out) .
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi guys,
I have a horseshoe, hazard surround, ignition switch cover, and batwing that I would like to paint lapis blue to match my exterior.
Any tips on doing this as far as the process is concerned? I would appreciate input on what sandpapers to use and what the proper steps should be. These are extra trim pieces so no worries if I screw up. I have the paint and clear coat already. Thanks in advance!
I guess you have pro quality base coat clear coat urethane paint. Maybe.
What you should do no matter the paint you are going to use ; clean well with wax and grease remover, or silicone remover to get all the interior dressings off. Sand all parts completely with 600 wet ( some people may use others) clean with cleaners again, let dry out a day in the sun (cleaners will soak in plastic, they have to dry out) . tack parts, spray lightly with adhesion promoter like Bulldog. spray paint according to directions On floppy parts like rubber you have to use flex agent, but if you dont touch them alot you may skip it.
If the part has texture like the soft touch leather paint you will have to sand it all off or primer it and sand it smooth
I did this. It was a lot harder than I expected. Here is my related thread.

I wish I had used very high quality paint/primer/prep materials from the start. I got a bad batch of Duplicolor paint from Amazon and it caused me many headaches and lots of time. The two-part clearcoat I used cost about $30 per can and is only good for 24 hours but was well worth it.
Plastidip, then paint over it. That's as close as you're going to get. I've done this before but the texture will not be 100% match of the OEM though. But getting OEM part off ebay is better choice as OKB suggested.
Or talk to race shops. It's one of the first things they lose (and often throw away) in a build.
I was complaining about a broken latch on my console 'oddments tray' to my shop guy, and he said, here - let's put this in. A nearly new, soft touch console, that looks great and wasfree.
