Ohlins is including Elephant Racing top mounts to replace the stock top mounts, and paying for the install.

I'm looking to get a set for my C2 and my friend for his C4S so good to know!

I have a c2 wiith Ohlins R&T coilovers. I love how the car rides and handles with them. Hopefully the problem is isolated and quickly fixed. if its a design problem which it seams it is then they will probably have to recall all the struts with the design flaw and thats not going to be easy.
Wow ! The urgency of the notification indicates to me a very severe problem.
Good looks on posting this Aaron for those that may be affected. Glad my Ohlins are not affected.
Talked to Ohlins USA yesterday.
They explained that they are currently manufacturing the front struts that will be used as replacements and that customers receiving these replacements will be "very happy".
Official announcements sounds like it will come after 1/4.
Think they are waiting until production of fix is complete and then can roll out soon after.
He did not provide reasons for the recall, what has been happening or how long it will take before replacements are ready; also advised not to drive the car until the fix is done.
Sounded like they will make everyone whole with the part but are again waiting until they have ALL the answers before official announcement.
Received my replacements today.
What was included in the kit made me very happy, a nice unexpected surprise.
Kudos to Ohlins for making this recall right,.....BETTER,...timely!!!
Ohlins are also taking care of the labor install/alighnment.
That's close to $600 in parts alone (not counting their cost on the new struts) - with installation, you're probably looking at $1500 - $2k... I'd think this is costing Ohlins some big $ (not to mention re-engineering the struts). Kudos to them for doing the right thing!
I asked this same question back in early January and their business dev/product manager responded with "could be several months. possibly mid-year."
Not the answer I wanted but, hopefully they are taking their time to make sure the new version will not have any issues.
