I have a set of springs from my '02 sitting around. Base suspension, not M030. Good condition. Want to give away to a good home before I throw them away.

I've got a '04 C4S with sport suspension that is just to damn hard for the crappy roads in Canada so I wanted to try a softer suspension, hence my interest in your offer.
let me know if you've still got them and how much you want for them.

However those would be the same as the ones I've got on my C4S and those are in good condition just to damn hard for the terrible roads up here, from what I understand the C2 shocks are more forgiving.

I am going to stand up and say that putting C2 shocks on a C4 is not a good idea though I have no basis for saying so. I just think the spring rates will be all wrong based on design weight and you might end up bouncing all over the place or suffering in some other way - has anyone done this before?
BTW are you sure you have stock suspension and is there a chance something is now working propperly?
Hey Ed, you could be right... but sometimes you just don't know until you try.
The shocks are OEM and in good condition but the difference between the stiffness of C4S/Turbo shocks and regular carrera is considerable of course the larger rims/smaller side wall has something to do with the dumpier ride.
for sure the spring rate's going to be different, as to the weight, I figure the C4S/Turbo and other 996's all fall within a similar weight range (there's a bigger difference between the coupe and convertible than between the 3.6 and 3.4 L).
You can upgrade a C2 to a C4s/Turbo sport suspension, so I figure why not the other way around?
But I'm not sure, thats why I'm looking for some inexpensive take offs to find out.
