Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello!
Cayenne S and now a 996 Carrera owner.
Here are a couple of piccys of the 996!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!
However, I am having an issue with the horn.. The horn doesn't seem to work at all so I checked the fuse and it was definitely fried. So I replaced the fuse and now I get this clicking sound coming from one of the relays near the fuse box.. The clicking stops as soon as I push the horn.
Is this a bad relay? If it is, where do I get a new one? Or, maybe it's a short somewhere? I'm not very good at electronics.
Your rubber isolation grommets on the horn frame are probably gone. It starts with the horn beeping over bumps and progress to horn on all of the time. PO may have pulled the wires off of the horns to shut it up. There are many hacks for inexpensive repairs. Search "Airbag retaining frame" "Horn frame" "Horn frame grommets" etc...

Here is a video of one of the hacks. he doesn't show reattaching the frame's ground wire that he took off in the beginning. That needs to be connected.

Why would you take the passenger airbag apart if the horn is problematic?
What terrible psychological damage was done that makes this seem like the correct course of action?
If the HORN CONTACT appears to be at fault, DO NOT:
1) Disassemble the passenger airbag.
2) Remove the left rear tire.
3) Replace the cabin air filter.
4) Add distilled water via the oil filler tube.
5) Remove all clothing and roll around in a room full of set rat traps.
I realize that this post is inflammatory - but it might be a good idea to put your Fisher Price My First Toolbox away and drive your car - assuming it is legal to do so - to someone capable. At the point "the horn is acting weird" suggests to you that you should disassemble the passenger-side airbag, it would be wise to defer any further decision-making to a trusted companion or legal guardian.
Tinkering around with an explosive device - and more specifically, the
wrong
explosive device - is a terrible idea if you don't know what you're doing.
