I'm replacing due to wear and brake dust though, not for performance.

Suggestion

Is "pushing the car a bit" the justification for using a non-OEM pad, or was that just additional information?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I looked around and I think it was the best deal for Akebono pads for my 01 996 C4. I have akebono pads on my 09 MDX, 11 Venza. I don't track but do push the car abit. Out the door price was 165$ us. I think I did well. What do you guys think?

POST 2Original post

Price sounds fine. Is "pushing the car a bit" the justification for using a non-OEM pad, or was that just additional information? The Textar pads are more than sufficient to stop the car, and it doesn't sound like you're going to be punishing the brakes... Is the price you mentioned for both fronts and rears? If so, nice price.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I meant I mainly do spirited driving. Nothing crazy. Daily driver ish. 165$ free shipping US for both front and back.

POST 4Original post

I actually just bought the same pads couple weeks ago. Will probably change them this weekend. I'm replacing due to wear and brake dust though, not for performance. P.S. since you asked... I paid $116.48
