They're of my car, but I checked with him and he's good with sharing them.

I haven't been able to use most of the photos you all have shared yet, but I should have plenty more opportunities to draw from this great thread in the near future.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'm working on a Porsche 996 website that will gather as many resources and as much information as possible for those who are new to the world of the 996. I'm looking for great photography of the 996 to feature if in various layouts on the website. I've found some good shots on Flickr that have a Creative Commons license, but I'm looking for more varied shots of different generations and colors of the 996.
If you're an avid photographer with photos of 996s that you would be willing to give permission to use on the site, please post them below. Even if they're not the right fit for my layouts, I bet we'll all get to see some great photos!
If you're curious about how the photo will be used,here are a couple of layouts I've been working on with photos I've found on Flickr:
@mrdeezy
These are some wonderful shots, and a great variety! Ill PM you about getting some higher res versions and permission to use them - with credit, of course.

@uscarrera
Nice shot! I love a teal Porsche.
@Behle
Glad to see some Targas in the mix! I like that mountain background. Nicely framed.
@NYoutftr
Great shot (and great license plate). I love seeing a 996 doing what it was meant to do on the track!
I'll be in touch via PM about getting high res images and permission to use them with credit. Thanks.
@mattie_k
Those are beautiful. Did you use some kind of HDR technique on the first one? It's super vivid. I'll PM you for hi res versions and permission to use them with credit.
@sasilverbullet
Thanks. I'll check them out!
@Dr_Strangelove
I got your photos and they look great. Thanks so much for sending them. Also, I love that Dark Teal Metallic!

I noticed on one of your photos you painted the center section plastic piece, where the center radiator would be, did you sense remove it?
BTW, your car is one of the best looking on our forum, just MO

@lowpue
YES! We need some Speed Yellow. I especially love that last shot of the car in motion.
@RT_955TT_KY
Love the cloud reflections, especially how they play across the Carerra badge.
@Surroues
Beautiful car and beautiful building together!
@exthree
Jealous that you have a climate to enjoy a beautiful cab year round. Love the blooming trees in the background.

David, That is very kind of you to say....I do love this car and frankly I love the 996 platform better than any other. Its definitely my favorite in my stable.
As far as the center slot...we cut that open to put a center radiator in. Also, remember that I put in a 997S engine and tranny in the car that is tuned so I needed bigger right and left radiators. Both sides are turbo radiators. Also, if you look closely, you can see that my right and left openings are actually bigger than stock. When we put the larger radiators in the shop wanted to put .2 headlights in to make room and use turbo radiators....Instead we made custom brackets for the radiators and we opened up the stock aero inlets very carefully so it is not obvious. I just love the .1 Aero nose and I could not part with it. Here is a picture of the difference...the right is the modified side.
The side by side comparison is outstanding.
Such a dramatic increase in inlet size without changing the contours as to be noticed.
I say, take the bumper cover off, make a mold and let the sales rip.
I hadn't had any cooling issues yet, but I did put the GT3 air ducts behind the Aero cover on mine.
I think they allow the more air to radiators because they aren't as tapered as the stock ducks, but not sure if that is a fact.
How about some pictures underneath...here is a shoot of the 3.8 997S Engine and Transmission in the car. But to me, the 4 pipe headers.custom by Dundon Motorsports is a piece of art in itself.
My apologies - I mis-typed the domain in my PM.

Lots of great stuff here. I just took a shot today, that I am somewhat proud of. I'm rebuilding the engine for
Speedy
. This is just prior to installing the bank #2 head.
Hope to be back playing in the dirt before too long...
Beautiful.....I really love the concept of light painting. I have had many of my cars done this way by jaden and it looks fantastic....the 996 is next. Thanks for sharing.
@Scott at Team Harco
Would love to use your engine pic in the engine rebuild comparison I'm adding to the site!
@jllphan
These are beautiful, crisp, photos of a really clean C4S. They look professional - did you take them yourself?
@IkoIko911
The light painting works so beautifully with your gorgeous Guards Red 996.
Here's a bunch of pictures taken by my brother in law,
Roby Fabro
. They're of my car, but I checked with him and he's good with sharing them.
There's quite a few and I sort of love what he did. Round 1:
@az968gpw
Yes, if you can get the rights to share the photos, I would love to feature them in the engine rebuild comparison I'm putting together.
@Zirconocene
Wow - your brother has some photo skills and Speed Yellow is such a great photo subject! I especially like the detail shots of the wheels and interior.
Everyone - there are so many great photos in this thread and I'm sorry if I missed responding to any of them! I'm working on putting together the initial design of the website and will post it here soon.
I have the shell of the site mostly together. Building a website it is like tackling a project car - it's never really done. At this point, I'm still test fitting a lot of the pieces. The articles and guides are all placeholders, it probably looks wonky on mobile devices, and I haven't added any photo credits yet.
All the caveats and disclaimers aside, if you want to see how some I'm thinking of using these photos on the site, you can check out my work-in-progress at

Thanks for the kind words, yes I'm an amateur photographer -- you are welcome to use those shots for your site. Here's an artsy one if you'd like another to use. I also have shots of my friends speed yellow targa should you need them.....
