From what I understand, to see the directions info in the cluster you need to be using the Porsche navigation system with the maps you need to purchase and run via the miniSD card.

in June 2021 i got PCCM +installed in my 2002 996.2 and i have to say I'm delighted with it. my Car had PCM 1.0 installed from factory and it was a huge improvement I have 2 question .. 1)I saw in some posts you are able to get the directions displayed in the cluster how can i enable this ( see attached) 2) is there any firmware updates that will show the trip computer /fuel economy per journey ? i had this on PCM 1.0 thanks

From what I understand, to see the directions info in the cluster you need to be using the Porsche navigation system with the maps you need to purchase and run via the miniSD card. It does not work with AA or Carplay. Getting a firmware update has been a struggle for many. Some units experience a random odometer reset, which I know has been addressed via new firmware. I don't know of a place to download the firmware other than have a dealer do it, many of which are clueless about it. That's been my experience at least.

Try to find a shop with PIWIS. I don't know if other OBD tools like Launch could code this. Others could chime in.
