I asked the lead mechanic at our dealership what Porsche uses for the Targa roofs and he said "Krytox".

Posting this in case it helps someone in the future. Short version: I recently serviced my Targa roof, seals, rails, etc with Krytox and Audi Special Lubricant and it is working better than it ever has. Long version: I have owned my Targa for four years and have spent a lot of time trying to find the right combination of lubricants for the roof that not only solve squeaks, rattles, etc, but also ensure smooth operation. I asked the lead mechanic at our dealership what Porsche uses for the Targa roofs and he said "Krytox". They didn't sell it so I went to Amazon and bought this: Amazon Amazon For those that don't use Amazon, Audi dealers offer a product called Audi Special Lubricant, which I BELIEVE is repackaged Krytox: https://www.audipartsstore.com/oem-p...ease-g052141a2 I bought this locally to try out. Based on this thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...l#post13161883 I used the Amazon Krytox first and went through every seal, surface, etc, that could be lubricated. The tube was enough for everything but the actual rails/channels the roof slides on. For that I moved to the Audi grease and thinly applied it there. The results were pretty immediate. The roof slides back and forth nicely without hesitation or pausing. I'm pretty pleased with the results. Note: I previously used Audi Sunroof Lubricant, which I found recommended on forums of other car brands for sunroofs. It helped the roof slide back and forth, but it attracted a shocking amount of dirt. I did a thorough cleaning of it prior to applying the Krytox.
