Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that suspect a cause
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suspected cause
If you wanted a phone mount I think the hazard switch made by a dude on here is probably the better bet.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
I spent $400 on a 3d printer large enough to print one in 1 piece, in practice I think its probably easier to print it in two and join them, I have a (poorly modeled) console delete that I printed in my car now but I've removed the rest of the console when replacing the shifter so its not an equivalent design for those who still have the middle console in.
Leading evidence: 'better bet' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'better bet' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace shifter so its not an equivalent design' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I put one in my regular center console storage bin and it worked great except it destroyed my radio reception.
Has anyone 3D printed one or have the capability to scan one? I have access to a 3D printer where I could try it out, but no file or access to a center console delete to scan. At this rate $500+ for a brand new black one feels like highway robbery to me.
So far in my p car journey I've learned to embrace the DIY opportunities and also embrace the "you've come this far, what is $500 more" reality of the brand.
I have a printer - seems like a scan/file should exist. Also, a mold and fiberglass isn't too tall an order for a DIY as well.
I'm holding on to the $500 for mechanical parts for the time being, but you aren't wrong about embracing it. I have also thrown around the idea of Cardboard Aid Drafting and cutting/bending some aluminum or stainless. Mostly these ideas are in prep for when I have more time in the garage this winter.

What's the feasibility of a 3d printed console delete with some type of integrated phone mount/shelf/tray?
I know it becomes "At this point just leave the stock console/shelf combo in there". But having that bulbous mass out of the car and the console delete in it's place is wonderful.
Its totally feasible, mostly a matter of doing the 3d design, which is where I'm not making any progress currently lol. The oem part has a good amount of loft to it as it still has to match up with the middle console, there's a crash(?) sensor mounted to the front of the tunnel which takes up a bit of room but otherwise there's still plenty of space. There's also the phone connector wiring harness under there, which is a great place to get power, would be possible to even put in a wireless charging element if you phone supports it.
The wireless charger is a great idea in theory. I put one in my regular center console storage bin and it worked great except it destroyed my radio reception.
