Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hoping to gain some knowledge as to the cause of some issues: I have an 01 C2 Cab and had an issue where my keyfob wasn't working. Took it to Porsche and they reprogrammed. 5 days later the fob stopped working, along with no interior lights prior to starting the car, can't open frunk, and OBDII not connecting. Did some research and sent the immobilizer and ECU to specialized repair in Florida, but the diagnostic showed both were functioning properly. Checked the B8 and C3 fuses as well and all good. Someone suggested changing the ignition module in the dash, but before I get into it, I wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions. Thanks

POST 2Original post

U sure your car just didnt go to "sleep"? After 5 days of non use u have to use your key in the door and in the ignition to reset the system. Its a power savings thing for storage.

POST 3Original post

If you had "Porsche" do the reprogramming, take it back to them and have them fix it.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the reply. It's my daily driver so very little downtime and I did try it as I have to use the key to lock/unlock the door.

I can bring it to the dealership, but looking for other options first. The closest Porsche dealership is over two hours away; I sat there for 6 hours last time while they reprogrammed. This time I'd have to have my wife follow me as they'd need it overnight.
