Will a unit like this run a Torque App and connect straight to a Blue-Tooth OBDII dongle and displace Gauges ?

Suggestion
In the outback for some reason it would use the wireless connection even if wired and I finally had to remove the stereo's wireless SSID from my phone so it would stop using it.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Okay!
So I replaced a very outdated double din unit with an 8" android head unit. I was worried that it might look a little out of place but I am happy with the way it looks!
This is the joying unit and also has wireless android auto. The "pad below it is a wireless charging pad- so I do not have to use a wired connection for my phone for any reason!
Figured I will go this route until I can find a single din flip out android unit and then possibly a console delete.
I thought others might want to see it!

The brand is Joying the latest version. The unit is a double din and there was no alteration to the dash!
the tablet design floats above the dash but fits nearly perfectly and does not block any of the switches etc..

Let us know how you like it after a few months. I installed the same Pioneer unit with wireless CarPlay in both my Outback and the 911. The wireless CarPlay was good for the first week or so but as I used it more It would cut out or disconnect several times a day. In the 911 it seems to be happy using the wired connection and will use the wireless if it's not wired. In the outback for some reason it would use the wireless connection even if wired and I finally had to remove the stereo's wireless SSID from my phone so it would stop using it.
Yes it does, you can buy the dongle from Joying and it comes with the torque pro app. I have it just have not installed it yet. I will soon and let you know how it goes!
Yes Please !!! I have a OBDLink MX+ dongle that I leave plugged in all the time, and like monitoring my MAF ECT,and fuel trims ect. on custom set up gauges while driving, but having to connect the phone ect. is a bit less fun.
This may be the solution I have been waiting for ......
Hello Porschetech3 - I have a '99 C2 cab and looking at OBDs (have a central locking issue - 2 beeps and noise in the dash - but not locking). can the OBDlink MX+ give me all the microswitches, connections codes? Can it clear them (once fixed)? Not ready for Durametric Pro (+MS PC) - but might need to invest, i intend to keep this car another 20 years (my local mech retired and i am going to try to do more myself). thx!
