I've thought about using the same bracket and sealing the hole to make it null.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've got a cracked head on bank 4-6. The solution is weld off the SAI jacked in the head and do a delete. The dealer can do an ROW flash so no CEL. With the block off plates where does the vacuum tank attach? The SAI valve mounts to a bracket that holds a relay and the tank. With it gone I'm not sure where to put it. I've thought about using the same bracket and sealing the hole to make it null. Tie wrapping it to the intake manifold doesn't seem like a great solution, but the manifold is the only structure close by. Running new vacuum lines is not a big deal. What have we seen folks do? Thanks and drive safe!

POST 2Original post

stuff it wherever. I zip tied it to a runner i think. If you want to make it remote and put in fenderwell, thats fine too I'd imagine. Not really a big deal either way.
