Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I replaced with Rein OEM style and felt nothing but joy and improvement.
Leading evidence: 'Replace with rein oem style and felt nothing' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check long bolt is' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I used stock mounts as well and they felt the same.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So, this is a bit of an amateur question. I'm not an amateur mechanic, but after owning my first 911 for 5 years and doing motor mounts for the first time, this vibration is strange to me. On revving from idle at a stop, I get a vibration on the way down and up the tach at lowish RPMs. Is this just the stiffness of the new mounts, or did I not torque things to spec even though I did...?
I just did mine and did not experience this. Car feels the same, shifter less notchy. Only change engine mounts. I used the Rein factory equivalent mounts. Which did you use?
I used stock mounts as well and they felt the same. If you did not use semi solid or solid mounts I would think something else is causing the vibration.
I used the stock replacements as well. The motorsport ones were just beyond what I was willing to spend considering my fall maintenance plans. Anyway, yeah, the vibration is more chunky, though reduced due to the rubber/hydro mounts. If vibrations had an RPM, it would be a 40 RPM vibe, as opposed to a 1000 RPM.....
I replaced with Rein OEM style and felt nothing but joy and improvement. I'd re-check your torque specs first because that's easy. Did the car vibrate quite a bit before you replaced the mounts? I'm trying to lead to the possibility that this vibration has always been there but you have now isolated one other set of vibrations and this one remains.
For sure I have thought about this as well. Yeah, the vibration feels like a bad mount, maybe not the motor now. I'll drive a few miles today and re torque. Just wondered if anyone else had felt the same. I put the new motor and clutch in last year, nearly a year exactly. I have 123k on the odo now. I have not replaced the gearbox mount yet, but plan to.
I just thought of this. Could it be that one of the mounts, the top did not settle in properly. The top square "bolt" needs to sit in the recess properly...
Yes to all. Definitely a stellar idea. I did check from below, and they were in proper, I only assumed the upper notch would naturally drop into place. I will double check when I re torque.
Thanks a ton for the thoughts.
