Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was struggling to get that crankcase bolt off. I tried to be careful but just to make sure is there a way to measure if crank is twisted - even the smallest amount? With plastigage and measure the clearances?

POST 2Original post

I can assure you did not twist the crank trying to remove that stubborn front crankshaft bolt, Yes twisting of crankshaft can be checked but crankshaft would have to be removed from engine case to index the rod journals. having dealt with aircraft engines with prop strikes which are more violent then what you went thru and having no issue during checks.
