Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I ran the decklid with the wing up until about six months ago.

Best to adjust fit at the attachment to the car or to the spoiler?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Found a used OEM Aerokit rear (taco) spoiler. Fitted, but fiddling with getting the fit right.
Couple questions:
1. Best to adjust fit at the attachment to the car or to the spoiler? I've been playing with car attachment point (as it came with hinges attached), but it's just not right at the rear light/latch area.
2. Anyone know the part # for the bumper/stoppers? And how they are adjusted and/or removed?
Here's the part at Rose Passion, but looking for the Porsche part # so can search locally.

Thanks gbarron - had the TSB, but overlooked the part #s

Here it is on the Pelican Parts site:

Looks like it pushes in and those windows are there to fit a screwdriver to push the tabs in to remove. Will try that.
Still not sure if/how it is adjusted. Too stiff to turn, but maybe mine are stuck.
I picked up a Carrera wing on Craigslist about six months into my ownership. Like you, I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about it long term so I made it as easy to swap back and forth as possible. I like the looks of the Carrera but I also like the Q-Ship aspect of the retractable wing.
I ran the decklid with the wing up until about six months ago.
And then on a whim, I switched back to stock. I can still see me going back to the wing at some point though.
We are on the same wavelength. Planning to keep both so can switch back/forth. Both have their own wiring harness, fan, etc.
I see you left the hinges on the car and undid at the decklid attachment point - did that make it easier to align?
Yes, leaving the hinges on the car makes it much easier to swap!.
I have 3 deck lids(standard C2, 996.1 Taco, and 996.2 GT3RS style) and can swap them in under 5 minutes, not counting getting the stored ones out of the attic.
I have a fan, light, harness, and latch for each one.
I only have to deal with 4 bolts and a connector to swap between deck lids.
I'm lucky the used Taco came complete (fan, wiring harness, seals and even hinges) - so switching back and forth should be easy.
For alignment, I took Tex's advice and attached to the body at the same position as prior decklid (marked the position before removing).
For fine tuning:
bolts on decklid
latch position
rubber bumpers
The rubber bumpers just screw in/out.
