Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Replace pads and discs' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace factory shims' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I did my front brakes this past winter. I replaced pads and discs. I believe I used brembo parts. Car stops fine but lets out this squeal sometimes when I hit the brakes. Is there anything I can do now to correct? Ive put about 2k on them. New pads, new rotors, suggestions?
I just tell people they are racing pads. 😀😀
Add anti-squeal to the back sides of them.
I have a tub of the stuff that I've had for years.
I use it on all brake jobs instead of the stuff that the part stores sell with pads.
I bought it at Bavarian Autosport, but ECS bought them and they carry it now.
One tub will last a long time, even if you do 10-12 brake jobs per year.
I have some anti-squeal but didn't use it when I did mine because of the dampeners. I suggest you just switch to the Akebonos and be done with it (hopefully).
I believe after driving a couple minutes. Under hard braking they are fine. For slow stops, they squeal at the very end, right before I stop. Car stops great otherwise.
Yep. Those pads are designed for higher heat conditions and may even perform better with spirited or track driving than a stock pads. Stock pads should not squeal, but they could wear faster on the track. Stock pads may also bite faster and slow a car down faster with less brake pedal pressure during a panic stop, whereas track pads need heat to grip most effectively.
My advice is to pick 1 of these options:
1.) Replace the pads
2.) Always drive like a crazy person (spiritedly)
3.) Live with it
Sounds exactly like my Honda Type R(Brembo front calipers not sure what brand the stock pads are). Squeals like a banshee on the street. At AutoX I hear nothing. The brakes are fantastic just noisy when cold.
When i bought my car it had pagid yellows. Terrible squeal. Went to oem fronts and a set from autozone and now quiet. Certainly not as strong as the yellows but for dd i dont need track pads.
