This is not a probability of success.

My 99' C2 would run fine when the weather was dry, but the minute there was moisture in the air, it would misfire and run poorly.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I also had the misfires in the rain, and new coil packs fixed the issue.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

why does the rain effect the running of my car. is the air box system that sensitive that drop of rain can cause a miss fire. 🤔 . this should not happen. lf l can't take my car out in the rain l may have to sell it this is ridiculous.

POST 2Original post

You probably have old coil packs that have developed some cracks and are not watertight. Change them and report back.

POST 3Original post

+1 on Michaelo's comments above, cracked coil pack will cause this exact behavior. My 99' C2 would run fine when the weather was dry, but the minute there was moisture in the air, it would misfire and run poorly. May want to change your spark plugs and tubes/seals while you're in there, fairly easy job. Best of luck.

POST 4Original post

+2 on cracked coil packs. I also had the misfires in the rain, and new coil packs fixed the issue.

POST 5Original post

You need to do maintenance on your car, replace the coil packs.
