Check the serial number on the engine to see if it has the "S" in the serial number !!!

You have to use whatever fluid is spec'd for the car and pump fill from the bottom, while bringing the fluid up to operating temp to get the correct level.

My new 01 C4 finally arrived. It's a TIP for the wife and it's nicer than my 02...
It's still dirty from it's inter-island ride on the barge so I just snapped a quicky...
Looks like it came with a Phone, full leather, LIT's that look brand new, memory seats and a fancy Pioneer stereo that has all the bells and whistles. Also found the 101 projects and 996 Essential Companion books in the frunk= BONUS...! Today is the first I'll get to really clean it and look it over.

Get the diff fluid changed too.
I am liking driving the tip more and more. I still get the urge to downshift into corners sometimes, especially with highway off ramps but that is slowly fading. I don't know how a ZF equipped car is to drive, but my car is pretty responsive with downshifting when I get on the gas.
So I find some receipts and recognize the name (3 owners ago), Called the number and had a long talk of its history We have mutual friends from the Outrigger Canoe Club.
His friends dad was a pilot, died and the car sat in the garage for five years. It just had a new motor put in after IMSB failure. Said it was an S motor on the invoice...

" S" motor ?? A 3.4 "S" motor would be the very rare 3.4 x51 engine ( not available in the US).!!!

Car runs great. Driving a TIP is real different though.
